Previous Projects
St. Jude's Up 'Til Dawn On November 2, 2018 the club participated in Up 'Til Dawn. It is one of many public fundraising efforts to raise funds for the wonderful patients at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. More than 75% of the overall funds that keep the hospital running come from public donations raised by events, just like this one. All participants create teams of 6, and collectively raise $600 for the kids leading up to the event. The night of the event we gathered together to stay up for good, in honor of all of the sleepless nights patients within the hospital, and their families, have had to endure. It takes about $2 million dollars to keep the hospital running daily, and they need all of the help we can give them! No family ever receives a bill for anything! This includes medical expenses, housing, traveling expenses, food expenses, etc. Join our fight against catastrophic diseases, and register for our event today!
Relay for Life On April 6, 2019, the club walked for Relay for Life. We set up our camp site again and continued to raise money with our horse shoe game and other activities.
46 Climbs Clarkson Equestrian will be joined many others worldwide on the mountains and in the valleys for 46Climbs 2018 from August 31st to September 9th 2018. This event benefited the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is at the forefront of research, education and prevention initiatives designed to reduce loss of life from suicide. With more than 36,000 lives lost each year in the U.S. and over one million worldwide, the importance of AFSP's mission has never been greater, nor our work more urgent.
Relay for Life On April 8, 2017, the club participated in Relay for Life. It is a team fundraising event where team members take turns walking around a track or designated path. The event was 12 hours in length and our team had to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. Cancer patients don't stop because they're tired, and for one night, neither do we. We set up a themed campsite at the event and continued our fundraising efforts by putting on a game of horse shoes.
